Lamb-01-111-02

Northbound Southern Railway Southerner passenger train slides past industrial switcher near south end of yard at Meridian, Mississippi, in August 1970. In background is Meridian's airport, a World War II air base, and before that, site of a record for time aloft by two locals, the Key Brothers. They spend months flying around the city in biplanes and refueling with a hose between planes.
